What's the $30 eye exam credit?
An eye exam runs $50 to $150, and nobody gives that money back. We take $30 off your lenses to return part of it. It applies to every prescription order, automatically — there's no code to enter and nothing to send us first.
How much do prescription lenses cost?
Just $20 more than the frame. Prescription lenses add $50, then your $30 eye exam credit comes off automatically — so a $59 frame becomes a complete pair for $79. Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant and UV coatings are already included, not upsells. Progressive and light-adaptive lenses are optional upgrades, priced in the builder, and the credit applies either way.
When do I need to send my prescription?
Whenever you're ready. Upload it while you build your lenses, or send it after checkout — we'll email you the instructions. Your credit is yours either way. We just won't start cutting your lenses until it arrives.
Can I buy just the frame without prescription lenses?
Absolutely. Our frames are available starting at $59 without lenses — perfect if you already have lenses, want to use them as a style frame, or plan to add lenses later. No commitment required.
Do you offer returns on prescription lenses?
Yes — and this is where we're different. Most brands won't refund custom prescription lenses. We will. You have 15 days from delivery for a full refund on your whole order, lenses included. No restocking fee, no exceptions carved out in the fine print.
What if my prescription lenses aren't right?
If there's any error in your lenses, we'll remake them at no charge. If you'd rather not wait for a remake, take the full refund instead — your choice, within 15 days of delivery.
Are polycarbonate lenses good quality?
Yes — polycarbonate is the lens material recommended for everyday wear. It's impact-resistant, lightweight, and has built-in UV protection. It's the same material used by many optical chains — you just won't pay their prices.
What prescriptions do you support?
We support single vision prescriptions (distance and reading), progressive lenses, and non-prescription lenses. If you're unsure whether your prescription is compatible, contact us at contact@urcrown.com and we'll help.
